“Family Resilience Series : Parent-Child
Positive Parent Campaign・Education Bureau
To further raise awareness of the Positive Parent Campaign among students, parents and the public, EDB organises activities under the Family Resilience series to encourage parents and children to recognise the importance of maintaining good interpersonal relationship and building resilience, thereby enhancing their mental health. EDB organises the Family Resilience Series: Parent-Child FUNtastic Free Verse Challenge to invite students, parents and the public to showcase their creativity by composing a free verse poem that captures the theme of how parents and children can foster mental well-being by approaching life’s challenges with a positive attitude and building resilience.
The competition is held in two rounds. In the first round, 20 outstanding eligible entries will be selected from each Group to advance to the second round, that is the Final. All finalists will be required to participate and recite their free verse poems live in the Parent-Child FUNtastic Free Verse Challenge Final which will be held on 24 January 2026, and the adjudication panel will select the winners for the awards on the spot. Both award-winning schools and finalists to the Final will be invited to the Prize Presentation Ceremony. EDB will send letters detailing the event to the respective schools and Open Group participants in November 2025.
